We’re a Small Colorado Family Farm
We produce under 100 rabbits a year, while working on conservation efforts of rare breeds. I have a husband and two children who help out with loving on the rabbits, and some of the chores.
Our Keen-Canine, 100% rabbit dog treats are truly awesome for dogs with sensitive digestions, since it allows them to safely eat a nutrient dense and desirable treat. Keen-Canine products are produced from only our rabbits, since we do not believe in outsourcing.
We Believe in Space
Rabbits are a noble creature and they need space to be happy.
Biosecurity hazards, and the temperature controls needed for cold-weather rabbits, means indoor housing and A/C during peak summer temps.
There are no stacked cages at Rit Shabbit, and we’re working on moving to an open pen arrangement in 2026. (No More Cages!!) Happy bunnies have room to run fast (zoomies) and binkie (a sudden jump/twist motion) in joy.
Our breeding adults get free time in exercise pens, and the younger bunnies have extra space from birth to adult.
Lots of Hands on Activities
Loving, evaluating, feeding, watering, cleaning up their nutrient dense manure, we spend a lot of time with our rabbits.
